Meet The Team

The Think Bikes riders are hand picked by Spode to ensure the highest quality at every event. This varies from performance to performance, but if you're looking for a rider you've just seen at one of our performances or workshops, this is where you'll find them!

Spode

Spode has been riding for almost 13 years, not excluding time taken out for injuries. Coming from a theatrical background, he has no trouble with working the microphone whilst riding the bike. Spode doesn't have a huge head for heights and would sooner be performing streetier moves on the smaller platforms, spinning around like a mad-man, performing 360 drop offs on demand.

Andy Johnson

Andy has been a permanent fixture on the Think Bikes team since 2008. Often referred to as simply "The Boy", his youthful energy comes through in leaps and bounds. Andy likes to push the envelope towards breaking point, much to the thrill of the audience.

Joel Bennett

Joel started riding with us in the latter part of 2010, making us instantly regret not working with him sooner. Joel manages to blend a unique streety style with the power of competetive riders. Always happy, you might also find him on the microphone or break dancing when nobody is looking!

Leon Neill

Riding since the late nineties, Leon has seen every phase of bike trials and picked and chosen his favourites. A ballsy rider with a penchant for big, scary moves he's always a crowd puller on 24 or 26" bikes.

Edd Hawkes

Edd Hawkes is an amazing unicyclist that doesn't let his lack of a second wheel get in his way, keeping up with the rest of the team with balance and power that we never thought possible. Edd joins us for shows where we need something a little different!

Joe Maher

For a 20" rider, Joe is amazingly versatile and never content with pulling small moves. Take off his leash and watch as he reveals all to the world. When not on a bike, he's also a damned good photographer!

Darren Hill

Growing up with Spode, Darren has an obvious place in the team. Nepotism aside, Darren has a unique style which has a snug fit around everyone else. Due to a rather severe injury, he had to sit out of the 2008 season but is now back on his bike and kicking bottom!
