We love talking to our fans, and we encourage you to follow us on twitter, become a fan on Facebook or subscribe to our YouTube channel. However, we're busy people and a lot of questions we get asked repeat themselves, so here is a list of frequently asked questions and answers. If your question isn't answered here, please do get in touch!
When you're riding trials, you spend the entire time standing up - so a saddle just gets in the way. In fact, some of the more advanced tricks wouldn't be possible with the bulk of the larger frame and saddles. If we fall off, because the frame is so low, there is plenty of clearance for us to put our feet down without making any bodily contact. In theory!
Our bikes are provided to us by Tarty Bikes and cost anywhere up to £1500. However, we wouldn't recommend these to a beginner. Instead consider some of their other bikes starting at around the £250 mark.
Trials is only as dangerous as you want it to be. The injury rate is lower than BMX and football - both of which are more popular sports. Because of its slow controlled nature, you can gracefully "bail out" of almost all scenarios without injury. However, as with any sport - the risk of injury is always there. There is no pre-requisite to do anything daring. Plenty of trials riders never get more than 4ft off the ground!
We don't directly sponsor any riders, but we are always looking for new riders in the team. If you think you have what it takes, by all means send us a video of you in action.
One way of finding local riders is to join a biketrial club. Alternatively, a large majority of the UK's trials riders frequent Trials-Forum.
Our workshops are designed for multiple people to attend and as such our price reflects that. If you want us to run a workshop - please talk to your school or council about funding a visit.
This is one of the common questions we're asked and it's difficult and time consuming. If you really want to improve, have a talk to your school or council about hiring us to come and do a workshop in your area.
